The Symposiums for Young Astronomers of the Chinese Astronomical Union are a series of conferences aimed at enhancing the performance of young astronomers, and encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue between different areas of research in the field of astronomy. The third conference in the series will take place in Shanghai, and will be hosted by Shanghai Observatory.

　　The conference will start on the 11th of July, 2014, and will last until the 14th. To experiment with a new conference format, no planned presentations will be required of participants at this time, although posters are welcome. The details of this new conference format will be disclosed in the second round of notices.
